Concealed Carry — Three Considerations Beyond the Holster

New concealed carriers focus almost entirely on gear. That's a mistake.

1. Legal jurisdiction awareness. MD, VA and DC have vastly different laws.

2. Medical readiness. If you carry a firearm, carry a tourniquet.

3. Continuing practice. A carry license is not a certificate of proficiency.
